Legal Question in Construction Law in Michigan

FIRED, while on disability

I have worked for this company for 2 years. This last winter I broke my foot somehow. The doctor says ( stress

fracture in metatarsal )I didn't know when this happened. It just started hurting in the night. The Dr. says it could have happened up to 2 weeks before and I might not have known. I do alot of walking at work and lifting. I also do some climbing around on pallets and climbing ladders. Since I couldn't swear it happened at work, I would not say it did. The company put me on short term disability, then long term, as it went along my stress fracture healed but what they called R.S.D.S. set in. They tell me that it is a life time problem that will come and go. I have been getting better and was even talking about going back to work. The Dr. put me on restrictions, work 8 hrs. being off my feet 6 hrs. Thats when they fired me. I can't swear it happened there, but I did alot of walking there. I know I didn't brake it any else. Thank You

Re: FIRED, while on disability

This is fundamentally unfair and could be considered a wrongful discharge. You need to contact a labor lawyer in Michigan who can represent you before the Michigan Circuit Court. Since I do not know in what part of Michigan you are located I cannot advise you further.

Check with the local county bar association for a lawyer who will handle your case on a contingency

basis.

Good luck!!!
