Legal Question in Consumer Law in Michigan
Misleading finance options
I agreed to hire a roofing contractor to provide a new roof ONLY if they could find the financing we were promised by the salesperson ($25 - $30) a month. The contractor arrived on the agreed to date but without the financing documents. They assured me that the financing was exactly what we agreed to. The foreman arrived with the documents AFTER the job was completed and the payments were $130 a month. They took our decision to cancel the contract out of our hands by deliberately waiting until it was too late for us to change our minds. What are our options?

Re: Misleading finance options
Write down all discussions you had and the names of the persons with whom you spoke and on the date of the conversations. Pay according to the terms that you understood. When they write to you saying that you are behind on payment, send them a certified letter return receipt requested explaining your position.
