Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
I commited two crimes in 96/97 poss.and trafficking a controlled sub. Served 3 1/2 years in Kentucky got out and moved to Michigan serving 2years on parole and been in Michigan since 99. Does Michigan have the power to expunge my record.

No. Michigan is your current state of residence. But the court that might have the power to set aside / expunge your criminal convictions is Kentucky (where the convictions happened). They may well have different rules & eligibility requirements than Michigan does. You should consult with an attorney in the Commonwealth of Kentucky about that process and eligibility.
