Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
I have a former employee who filed a criminal complaint against me. I had nothing to do with their claim, but the actual manager of the office did (I'm rarely actually in this office). That person is willing to confess, but the investigators really don't seem interested in listening, and my attorney is telling me to just wait until I'm charged. He says I should use it as part of my defense. Should I push this issue? Will the police still charge someone, even if someone else is trying to do the right thing and take responsibility?
