Re: expunging criminal record
It has been over 5 years, so you would be eligible. However, there are many hoops to jump through. Contact me at www.kliszlaw.com to discuss details. Tim Klisz
Re: expunging criminal record
In Michigan there is a 5 year waiting period, which it sounds like you have done. Also, setting aside a conviction is a privilege and not a right. Please cpontact my office to discuss further. Toll free 877 MICH-TEAM. Eric I. Kutinsky, Esq

Re: expunging criminal record
We get questions like this pretty much weekly. You can search the "Q&A Database" at lawguru.com for past answers to questions about expungments, or "setting aside a conviction".
In addition to the 5-year waiting period, this U&P must be your one and only criminal conviction ever ... anywhere. Under current Michigan law, if you have any other misdemeanor or felony conviction anywhere, you are disqualified from setting aside the U&P. So, even a DWLS conviction will disqualify you.
