expunging criminal record

It has been 8 years since I was

convicted of felony uttering &

publishing, can I get this off my

record?

We get questions like this pretty much weekly. You can search the "Q&A Database" at lawguru.com for past answers to questions about expungments, or "setting aside a conviction".

In addition to the 5-year waiting period, this U&P must be your one and only criminal conviction ever ... anywhere. Under current Michigan law, if you have any other misdemeanor or felony conviction anywhere, you are disqualified from setting aside the U&P. So, even a DWLS conviction will disqualify you.
