Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

I was with a large group of canoers and kayakers on the Muskegon River. We pulled over to the bank for a break. I needed to relieve myself. I went off in the trees a ways and took care of business. When I turned around to head back to the river there were two young officers there on shore staring at me. When I approached they cited me for urinating in public. I was not in public. I was off in the trees. I intend to plead not guilty.I am told it could probably go to trial and I'll have the public attorney because I can't afford to hire one. Do you think I have any chance of getting off on this? Members of the group I was with told me the officers were using binoculars to spot me from the river. There were other members of my group using the woods for the same purpose at the same time I was arbitrarily cited.

Fight your case. Don't simply take a plea as charged. Also, be careful to what you plea to as you may end up on the sex offender registery. Daniel Hajji 248.865.4700
