If he was convicted of CSC 3rd, chances are he has to register under the Sex Offender Registry Act (SORA). There are certain restrictions involved being around children at schools and daycare centers, but no blanket ban of being around children. Check the SORA restrictions for a more concise answer as to what he is prohibited from doing.
