Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
I own a Resale store in Detroit, MI. Within the past few months this one police officer has been harassing me, saying that the goods that I am selling are stolen. My company picks up second hand goods from people who are willing/need to get rid of unwanted items. I pick them up for free when I am called and then I resell them. I have a license for this. However, this police officer insists on my goods being stolen and the last 2 times she has given me a ticket. We are going to court for this issue this month. Today, I just got a ticket in the mail that said "interference with city employee's in the performance of their duties unlawfull." This is what the officer wrote on the ticket. It doesn't even make sense to me. Can someone help explain this? Thank you.

Either way, you need to answer and contest your tickets, especially if they are misdemeanor violations. Retain an attorney to help you fight back.
