Legal Question in DUI Law in Michigan

License restoration

I have had 6 dui's all before 1999 and all within a 6 year period. I have been clean for 10 years,no trouble with the law since 1999. I need to get my license back, and my life, hard to find a good job w/o a license. Is dlad or cicuit court my best bet?? And can I do this myself w/o an attorney??

Re: License restoration

In Michigan you are never forced to hire an attorney. Most people don't feel well qualified to practice law so they hire attorneys.

Attorney John English would be a fine choice for your driver license restoration case. You can reach him at 1 866.766.5245.

Re: License restoration

Before you have your hearing, they have already decided not to give you your license. As opposed to a criminal trial where the prosecution has to prove beyond a reasonable doubt the guilt of the defendant, in a license hearing, that burden is on you to prove to the hearing officer that you will not drink and drive. An attorney, experienced with these types of matters can make a difference. If you need help, contact my office.
