Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
Custody Rights between Biological Parent & Grandparents
I just got a notice in the mail about a child support case.
Long story sort I was with this girl for a short time, 4 months later she tells me I was pregant, knew she cheated on me, I told he when the child is born, I would agree to take a DNA test to confirm I was the father. I remained at the same location for 3 years, I was never contacted by her again. I did make an attempt twice to get a hold of that family, but they were constantly on the move, and I could not track them down. Have not heard anything in 7 years. Now I find out the mother is the ''Absent Parent'' . The grandmother has full custody of this 7 year old little girl. My question is, since I did not know completely of this little girl, And I was rob of my rights with her, Who would have more Custody rights a Grandparent or the biological father.
I know it depends on the situation, I'm hearing that alot. We live in Michigan, me and my wife run a daycare, we have two children of our own.
The little girl only has the grandparents, no mother or father.

you have highly superior rights compared to any grandparent. Visit www.kliszlaw.com to discuss options. Tim Klisz

Parents rights trump anyone else's rights. But first you will want to make sure you are, in fact, the biological father. Contact a local family law attorney as soon as possible.
