Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

i have had custody of my 12 yr old daughter since she was born, she sees her dad every other weekend and we split the holidays and the summers, he now wants to take me to couet to get custody of her, will they give her the choice since she is 12???

The court MAY listen to the child's choice but that is only one factor in determining custody. The first hurdle your ex must clear is whether there has been a substantial change in conditions that requires a change in custody. Desire for a change is not enough. http://www.wolverinelaw.com
