Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

fleeing state

My husband is very abusive emotionally and physically to just me. We have three kids and would like to go to Kansas for help from family. I have no job, no friends. Is this possible, or can he make me bring my children back?

Re: fleeing state

If you leave the state with minor children, it is very probable that the court will require you to return. Therefore, you should have an attorney try to obtain the court's assistance is resolving your problem. Perhaps your family would assist you with some money to hire a lawyer. If not, you might have to settle for Legal Aid.
