Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

I've been married for 5 years in the state of Arkansas. I now live in Michigan more than 180days and want a divorce. During the course of our marriage my parents gave me a house and the lot in Arkansas, no money transactions, I paid for the legal paperwork to have deed in my name only, however this happened during the course of the marriage. Does my spouse have any claims to this land given my name is the only name on the legal paperwork?

You have to litigate the issue, and while it appears to be separate property, these issues are complex. You can call us for a free consultation.
