Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

''property''

After being engaged only six months, I ended the relationship. All of my belongings had been moved into his home in anticipation of the upcoming nuptuals. When I was given ''permission'' to come and retrieve them, many items were gone. I have asked for them to be returned; however, I have not gotten a response. We are both professionals with very public careers and I would like to keep this matter personal and clean. What are my options?

Re: ''property''

One very viable option is to have an attorney write him a demand letter. Once an attorney gets involved I find that most issues are resolved quickly. Depending on the items and values there may be a few more options. Please feel free to call and discuss further. (800) LAW-6685
