Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

How does someone relinquish parental rights? Had the child for 12 years and paid support to the mother while the child lived with me. The mother also opened a whole new child support case in another state and failed to notify either state. Went to court last year and support was supposed to be billed at zero because of all the time the child lived with me and she still collected support from me for that child. Now she has gone back to the court and they are now bi8lling me for support again. What can I do to have this stopped?

Hire a lawyer and perhaps abate based on the period that the child spent with you. You can call us for a free consultation 877 887 9562. Also if there is conflicting jurisdiction without notice you can countersue to void the judgment.
