Re: retirement rights

We have received a copy of your message regarding your ex-wife's claim for your pension benefits. Our firm specializes in domestic matters. A claim by the "non-employee" spouse against the "employee" spouse can be made during the divorce proceedings. She can claim part of it as property settlement or as spousal support if she needs it. However, once the divorce becomes final she cannot make any claim unless the Judgment of Divorce specifically allows her to. Please feel free to contact the office and speak to Helene Phillips or John Talpos if you have further questions or would like to retain us. (http://www.Mich-Lawyer.com)
