Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
Does he still have rights?
My sons father has not seen my son since he was 2 1/2 years old, my son is now almost 15. Out of the blue my sons father called and said that he wanted to see my son, but that is out of the question, my son does not want to see him.Can my son be forced to see him, if his father takes me to court? Can a 15 year old boy decide if he wants this man to all of a sudden be part of his life? I am married and and my son thinks of my husband as his father, even though he knows that this other man exsists. Can he all of a sudden disrupt my sons happy life?

At age 15, the judge will most likely listen to the wishes of your son, if it comes to that. Just tell the biological father to take you to court if he wishes. William Stern 248-353-9400
Re: Does he still have rights?
I should think you would want your son to know his bio-dad.
It looks like you moved from MA to MI or from MI to MA, either way some distance away from his bio-dad.
Did you do anything to keep the bio-dad from seeing
your son over these years?
Did you receive child support over these years???
If yes is the answer to either of these questions,
you should do what you can to make the teenage
boy want to see his bio-dad.
