Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
my son father is demanding custody
i have a two year old son that i have taken care of by myself since birth, his father walked out when he was three days old, due to a girlfreind he had while we were seeing each other, he wanted nothing to do with our son. as time went on we contacted each other and he began to see the child, however his now wife has made threats, and comments
about my child, i never let him keep him for long peroids of time, this makes him very upset, ive tried to talk to him about some of the comments made he dosen't want to hear them so i have stop letting him see him at all. now he has gone behind my back and is trying to prove me unfit as a mother, he dosen't pay childsupport, i don't want him to because it opens doors for visitions, idon't feel my son should go there untill he is able to talk, his wife has said things like she felt like throwing him out of a window, they have money i don't this is what he is trying to bring up in court, i live with freinds, he owns four houses, what are his chances of getting custody?

Re: my son father is demanding custody
The chances of him getting custody are slim unless he has some evidence on you showing you unfit as a parent. However, if he files for custody, it would be in you and your child's best interest to get the best attorney you can. William S. Stern
