Mr. Talpos in Michigan gave you good advice. You need to get your records together and then meet with an attorney.

Re: child support

Hello, I have received a copy of your e-mail regarding child support arrearages. You need to get a detailed accounting of all payments made by you from the Friend of the Court and match it to all of the payments you have made. Make sure you add into your calculations the support you were supposed to be making, the maintenance fees, and the interest added if there was an arrearage. You may need an attorney to handle dealing with the Friend of the Court. If you are still sure that you are being overcharged, you can file a Motion in front of the Circuit Court judge to have the arrearage reduced or eliminated. Good Luck. John C.
