Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan
Use of false name in internet then asking after 5 years to marry .
I found out a man I had been dating was married.
This man used a false name and state. He asked me in a general way to marry him and have children. ( i have the nots and such of what he said)
He took 4 years of my life as I tried to have other relationships and he would make me feel like I was cheating on him long distance, I awlays ended those relationships.
As soon as I found out he was married, lived 3 hours away and had children my entire world fell apart and the emotional struggles I am having are enormeous. Is there anything I can do to prevent him from doing this to anyone else and perhaps compensation for my pain and suffering and humiliation. He knows my son, parents and friends. He mailed me as his mother for 2 years and he mailed me as his friends as well. Said he was in detox ( never was) and took me on 2 trips paid with his companines money but I cannot prove that. Is there anything I can do?

Re: Use of false name in internet then asking after 5 years to marry .
Many years ago there used to be a type of a case called breach of a promise to marry. These cases arose because men traditionally would promise marriage in order to induce the woman to have sex. Now, these cases are no longer recognized. Use the experience as a learning experience and grow from it. Bill Stern
