Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan
Libel or Slander
Because of a recipient rights investigation(May 2003) conducted by local recipient rights office I recieved a demotion and a cut in pay. A primary respondant admitted that he lied during the investigation. The R.R. ofiice was asked to investigate again. To date I have had no response. Do I have the right to sue the respondant, R.R. office, My job?

Re: Libel or Slander
You surely have a right to sue the person who lied. I do not know what you mean by recipient rights office, etc. I do not even know who your employer is. Are you covered by a collective bargaining agreement? I cannot answer further without knowing these things. Bill Stern
