Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan
Lied about Motor
I purchased a vehicle from a private individual and was told that it had a rebuilt motor in it. After driving the vehicle for about 2 weeks and putting 4 quarts of oil in it. I knew that there was a serious problem with the engine. I took it to a certified auto shop and confirned that the rings are worn out and the motor needed to be replaced. How do I prove that he lied about the condition of this engine.

Without having the guarantee in writing, you will never prove your case. A used car is generally purchased "as-is". Bill Stern
