lying on police reports

a witness in a case against me on domestic violence lied on her written statement and is trying to get me to go to jail... i have a good case and was wondering if there is anything i can do to press charges against her for lying to get me in trouble... she is not the victim.

First, if they charge you, you must beat the case. You'd have to have very, very soild evidence that she libeled you in order to sue for slander. It's very difficult. Bill Stern
