Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

Settlement

Will Justice ever be served on my behalf?

When I moved out of a mans house (that i've only known for a mo.)he lied to the police & refused to let me take my furniture. I have all my receipts, pictures, video, ect..He's harrassed me, faulsly accused me,& confessed Perjury to his lawyer; so he offered a settlement (promising to return my furniture or its value; included)He sent almost none of what belong to me -orgin unknown & he criminally deface my property & put the name logo's on stuff that doesn't belong to me & refuses to pay me compensation. His own attorneys are bailing out on him; fearing a scandal (ones applying to become a judge)& never turned his client in for lying to the judge. This creep that did this to me is a OBGYN DR. & it's been over 4 months now & I've gotten nothing, but through the agreement of the settlement -he got out of Larceny & Assault & Perjury Charges!!! I'm furious; my only simple desire was my stuff back!

Re: Settlement

Er...I don't mean to be cute, but what is your question?

If you're annoyed at your settlement, remember that a settlement is something you AGREED to. If you agreed to drop valid charges against him just to get some furniture, then shame on you!

If you're having trouble getting compliance with your settlement, you should take positive, non-hysterical steps to get it done. Ranting about your ex does no one any good: you have to make a plan, execute upon it....and then, move on with your life.
