Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan
Small Claims - possible multiple plaintiffs
Several months ago I hosted a Party-plan home show. The
products have not been delivered and I cancelled the order 2
months ago. The consultant said she would mail me a refund
check to cover all the orders, but is now having money problems
and no longer has the money because she spent it on her own
household expenses. The order was never actually submitted to
the company. Can I sue on behalf of all my guests and myself (a
total of 5 people), or must we all file separate small-claims suits?
The total owed is over $350.

Re: Small Claims - possible multiple plaintiffs
All of you can go in together in the same lawsuit. However, you must all appear separately in the suit. Your trial date will be the same. Bill Stern
