Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

I am being sued in 6th Circuit in Michigan

My company and myself individually are being sued in the 6th Circuit Court in Pontiac Michigan. My company and I became insolvent last summer. Because my company is being sued, I have to hire an atty by MI. law to answer. Of course I feel this is a bogus suit, and I have no assets or money to lose, but I don't want to be forced to file bankruptcy due to a default judgment. How can I find a pro bono attorney or legal aid to help me in Michigan? I have never done business in Michigan and would like to either have this case dismissed or a change of venue to Texas. Thank you. Greg

there isn't a legal aid for corporations that I'm aware of. But if you are looking for affordable representation contact me at www.kliszlaw.com and I would be glad to assist you. Tim Klisz

It is unfair that I am being sued. Therefore, I want an attorney to forego time with his or her family, perhaps not take a vacation that year and spend perhaps a hundred hours or more on my case, because life has been unfair to me. By the way, I have health difficulties even though I lived a healthy life so I believe that a hospital and health care institution should provide me with free care. And I expect that lawyer to do a great job! It's too bad that he won't be able to handle some lucrative case because he is going to be tied up taking care of my issues.

If you are an officer of your corporation you can appear and defend it and you. Better hurry and file an answer. Time (its on the summons) is running out.

Apparently you haven't convinced the plaintiff that you're broke. Few Michigan lawyers will go to the trouble to sue an out of state defendant without any assets who has never done business in this state........ I sure wouldn't.
