Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

Got a ticket for urination in public - with my brother's ID

I received a ticket for urination in public, and because I was not thinking right, I

gave the officer my brother's ID (which I had used to buy alcohol earlier). Now

the ticket is on my brother's record, and he is about to go to medical school. It

is a misdemeanor on my brother's record right now, would it be taken off? What

would the penalty be for me when I tell them what happened?

You could be charged with resisting and obstructing a police officer, public urination , and minor in possession. If you have no previous record, the maximum penalty would likely be a fine; a year's probation and some community service.

Do your parents know about this? Somebody's about to spend a ton of money on a medical education and having this on you brother's record is not a happy situation. An attorney can get you and him out of this mess.
