Re: Writ of superintending authority

There is a book published by West Publishing on the Michigan Court rules that is available in almost all law libraries. It should have a sample in it. Superintending control is the same as a writ of mandamus. Basically, it is just a petition requiring a public authority to take particular action. There really is no set form and it must be drafted to meet with a particular factual situation. In these types of things, you must follow the rules very carefully so refer to the court rules.
