Legal Question in Immigration Law in Michigan
I am a currently a college student and a dependent of my parents. I have a girlfriend i met at school 2 1/2 years ago and we are ready to get married. The problems we are having is 1. She is an international student here from China and 2. I don't know how marrying her will affect my financial aide. Because I know if her and I get married I will need to find a sponsor of her because I do not make enough by the governments standards. So If anyone can help me with this It would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, if you marry a foreign resident and apply for her permanent residency after marriage (a green card), you will be required to petition and sponsor her. If you don't have any income or it's below federal poverty guidelines, then you will have to find a joint sposnor (who has to be a US citizen or resident earning enough).
