Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Michigan
Unofficial Information Copyright
I run an online magazine. We covers a specific game. We always release unofficial information way before the offical company does (insider sources).
I would like to ask, who has the copyright of these materials, they will eventually be materials of the official company, but since they haven't released it yet, we are the first to publish it.
The company does (even though they haven't announced yet) or we do?
Also, if someone else copies our contents, who do they have to credit? Us or the company? Thanks for the help!

Re: Unofficial Information Copyright
I don't see where there is any independent original thought and therefore I do not believe that there would be a copyright involved here. There has to be some independent thought expressed in a tangible media for copyright to exist.
