Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan
foreclosure eviction
my house has been foreclosed on. I had to go to court yesterday for termination of tenancy, but nobody showed up on the plaintiff's behalf. The Judge just said to me ''case dismissed, you win''. Now do I just wait for another court date? Do I need to hire a lawyer? I'm a little confused.

Re: foreclosure eviction
It sounds like you do not have to terminate your tenancy at this time. Your landlord will have to begin the process of eviction once again and you will likely receive a new court date.
If you would like to learn more about your landlord's obligations please visit my website at www.lawrefs.com and search under landlord and tenants.
