Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan

my grandson is being accused of hitting and knocking over their apt complex mailbox. they wouldn't show him the video of the actual accident. they said they have to wait to get corporate permission. He took pics of his car and the mail box. The scratches don't even match. The police basically told him he did it and he will have to pay for the damage. What advice can I get to help him.

Assuming this is criminal in nature, you should work on hiring him a local attorney. If civil, I'm guessing reporting it to his insurer would make sense.
