ACL reconstruciton malpositioned

I had ACL reconstruction on my left knee on 8-1-01. I had very poor recovery from this surgery, & opted for a second opinion before this surgeon was going to go back in & look inside my knee again. The second & third surgeons both said that the position of the ACL reconstruction was ''malpositioned'' & ''not in the ideal place''. I was referred to a Professor of surgery at U of M. He informed me that I have suffered a definite malpositioning of the ACL reconstruction. It is approximately 1-1/2 in. off from the correct place. The only way to get rid of my pain is to take everything the previous surgeon did out. I then may face an unstable knee and will have to have an ACL reconstruction done again, but in the right position. I also had suffered tremendous pain in postoperative physical therapy, when my bad surgeon ordered extensive therapy to straighten out my leg, which I have learned now that it was impossible & that is why I had so much pain at that time. Also, because of that I could have incurred damage to my bones, or tears inside my knee. Is this enough to sue for malpractice? I have suffered for almost two years now in pain, & I am currently fighting worker's compensation over the matter, I was initially hurt at work.
