Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Michigan

injury in jail

i was recently in jail in monroe county michigan. while i was in there i caught a diease called staph infection. its a infection that stays in your body and you can not get rid of it. while i was in there i caught it in my mouth and it swelled up so bad i couldnt talk. the first night i was sent to the hospital and the hospital gave me some shots and sent me back. and the hospital also said if my case got any worse i was to be sent back to the hospital asap. and it did get worse and it took them 3 days to send me back. thats when they found out i had staph infection. ive been out of jail for a little over a month and sense the mouth ive gotten 3 more infections. i was just wondering if theres any legal action i can do about this matter?

Re: injury in jail

Staph is on your skin and on everyone's skin. There is no way to isolate it to the jail and even if you could, there is no liability. William S. Stern
