Legal Question in Personal Injury in Michigan

Boyfriend at the time sceamed at me, threatened my life while driving me to work, was speeding, running stop signs and red lights, grabbed my head and choked me in his lap while continuing to drive recklessly. I jumped out of the car for fear of my life. I ended up going to the emergency room for cat scans and x-rays due to goose egg on head and major scrapes on knees, elbows and behind. Also, missed two days of work due to pain. Also, have no health insurance. Can I sue him for the hospital bill? Although there was no evidence on my body from him, everything was from me jumping from the car, not sure if that makes a difference?
