Legal Question in Personal Injury in Michigan
Broken Satelite Dish
My friend invited myself and two other onto his roof for a drink. His roof is
not allowed to be used. He kicked the door open and we had a few drinks.
Came back down with no issues. We were all together the entire time. The
next morning it was found that the stuff was left up there and they knew what
apartment it was who left it. Somehow, we dont know how, the satelite on
the roof for the restaurant bellow was broken. They are taking him to civil
court. His name is on the lease for the apartment and I live elsewhere. Is
there any way they can, as well, take me to civil court? Am I in anyway
responsible for the satelite dish being broken. Even though I was not the one
who broke it nor was the one who suggested to use the roof as a social
gathering area, nor was the one who broke onto the roof? They are also
making a claim for the money lost that night dew to the lack of satelite
television, are they aloud to make that claim as well?

Re: Broken Satelite Dish
Anyone can file a lawsuit against you. Whether you are ultimately responsible will be up to the judge or jury to decide.
You need to work on your spelling.
