Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan
Can I file a lien on real property in Wayne County Michigan by myself? We have a land contract, the buyer is in default and has filed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. It appears he owns his home free and clear and I would like to file a lien. Can I do it online, without an attorney...what are my options?

You are on the verge of making a big mistake if you do anything in this matter. Filing bankruptcy creates an automatic stay of all collection actions. If you do anything, you can get sued. Please consult with a bankruptcy attorney at once to understand what you can do to protect your interests. www.kliszlaw.com. Tim Klisz
