Property easement question

Hello,

I have a real estate question concerning a 10ft easement to the Lake Huron Beach over my cottage property in Harbor Beach, MI. My wife and I bought our cottage 4yrs ago. The 10ft wide by 215ft long easement over our property has one large tree and two medium sized trees, a clothesline and a 4ft wide shed that has been there over 40yrs. The neighbor behind our property who has the deeded right to use the easement has never requested to the previous owner or us to have the shed, clothesline and trees removed from the easement since she purchased her cottage 15yrs ago up until recently. They have walked around the trees, clothesline and shed with the previous owners permission and continued to do so after we bought the property. Do I have to remove the shed, clothesline and the trees from the easement?

Thanks

Re: Property easement question

Are they NOW requesting that they be removed? I think it would help to see the terms of the easement and know why this topic is now coming up? How long have the trees, clothesline and shed been on the 10ft easement?
