Legal Question in Traffic Law in Michigan
2 tickets in a week?
I got a ticket friday for having an expired liscence plate. I was hard up for money at the time and had every intention of renewing it. I was stopped four days later and recieved another ticket for the same reason. I had explained to him my money situation but he decided to give me one any way. Isn't it illegal to receive 2 tickets for the same thing in less then two weeks? Im having trouble figuring this one out. Please help

It is not illegal to get the multiple tickets. The officers are catching each violation as they happen. Sorry. Tim Klisz

Uhh......did you really think this through - i.e. that receiving one ticket gives you immunity from receiving another for the same offense?
You did not get the ticket for owning but for OPERATING an unregistered vehicle.
