Legal Question in Traffic Law in Michigan
Abandoned vehicle
I had my car broken down on the side of the hwy for 30 hours before it has towed. I toulk the plate off the car so it would get stolen. Should i have to pay for the tow? this seems like not enogh time for me to get my car fixed and off the side of the road.

Re: Abandoned vehicle
It's a matter of safety. A full day to get it towed is entirely too long when towing has nothing to do with getting it fixed.
I suspect that you can argue about it, but it's unlikely to be a winning argument, since eventually you would have had to get it towed anyway. The mechanic wasn't going to repair it right there on the highway.
By not doing it right away, you gave away the chance to make the decision about how and where it would be towed.
