Legal Question in Traffic Law in Michigan
Traffic incident
I have unintentionally backed up into a vehicle parked illegally, on the street, and blocking my driveway. No police report was written. Who's at fault? Am I liable to compensate the other party?

Re: Traffic incident
You could be - your insurance companies would likely fight it out. Even though the vehicle was parked illegally, you are still supposed to keep a lookout as to where your vehicle is going, i.e., what if a person was there? I would wait to see if the other party demands money from you and then talk to your insurance agent if you can't resolve it.
