My boyfriend and I are thinking about getting married. I have a house that is in my name only, if we got married and he passed away owning medical bills. Would my house become part of his estate? Could it be taken to pay medical bills?

If you added him to the deed or left it to him as your heir, yes, it becomes reachable by his creditors.
