Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

Good morning! I reside in Detroit, Michigan-Wayne County and this is a case of deceased fathers real estate property. Ok, My father recently died in 2008 and I am the personal representative of his estate now. My father owed back taxes to the IRS and one creditor however I would like to sign the deed over to myself which are the wished of my father. Our family does not have nearly enough money to pay the back taxes and creditors. With these factors in this situation what are my options?

I would need to meet with you to discuss the situation and the amounts of money in more detail. Unless you are on the deed before your father's passing, you must use the assets of the Estate, including the house, for the benefit of creditors before beneficiaries of his Estate. There are exceptions and priorities that may be applicable. Please contact me to discuss in more detail. 888-988-LAWS (5297) or [email protected]
