Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

My Grandfather recently passed and he did not leave a will. His girlfriend is taking my mother to court. Does she have a right to this? My mother and her sister are the only next of kin.

You do not say what is the basis of the claims against your mother. Most likely it involves some property that your mother took that the girlfriend says she was gifted. I would have to know more specifics to give you a good answer.
