Sex offendor list

I am pretty sure a minor convicted of fourth degree sexual misconduct is not required to be put on MI sex offendor's list, but does a judge have the discretion to put the minor on the sex offendors list even if it is not required?

Re: Sex offendor list

If the conviction is not one that requires registering, a judge does not have discretion to force him to register. If he were required to register, as a minor, he would not be listed on the public sex offender registry in Michigan until after his 18th birthday.
