Legal Question in Workers Comp in Michigan
Right's
Last year I fell while working on the job. When I fell I used my arms and hands to stop from hitting a brick wall. I suffered minor scrapes and cuts. I also filled out the incident report for the company. I had a few aches and pains that I thought would go away, but after a while the pain still was there and it had gotten worse over this period of time. I was complaining about the pain to other co-workers and boss, nothing was ever said. The pain was so bad I asked to see a doctor because my arm was not getting better. I was told I had a bad case of tennis elbow and I was given a brace on it and put on lifting restrictions of 20 pounds or less. Plus I could not use ladders. This has been going on for six months now. In the mean time my work has finished up for the season, and I was laid off still on full restrictions, so I can not collect un-employment but I went to see the companys insurance doctor and he said it was only mild and said take meds for two more months and were the brace,. My primary doctor has not released me yet. Am I entitled to workers compensation from the date I was laid off till now???
