Legal Question in Workers Comp in Michigan

Work related injury

I was off work for 2 months after injuring my back at work when a client fell on me, and have since returned to work with restrictions.I've seen an agreed upon physician and specialist for my back injury whom have both agreed upon the diagnosis and procedures being taken. Now Work comp. states it's imperative I see another physician of their choosing.Do I have to comply with their orders? My employers are medical professionals assoc. with the physician I'm requested to see. What is my recorse? They are making my life miserable.

Re: Work related injury

Who agreed upon the first doctor? Was it the comp carrier? Chances are, you don't have to keep seeing a doctor of their choice. However, they will just refuse to pay and you will have to file a petition for workers comp.
