Legal Question in Workers Comp in Michigan

I suffered a slip and fall at work a couple of months ago that caused numerous back problems for me but my boss fired me shortly after, did not file a claim and denies any responsibilitie for that accident. What are my rights and what can I do to recieve the benefits that I need?
