Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Minnesota
I am looking into filing Chapter 7. I was wondering since I live in an apartment if the Federal Exemption Catch-All dollar amount would only be the $1125? If so, can cameras, guns or similar items be placed under the household goods, furnishings and appliances category or do they have to go into the Catch-All category?

By Catch-All I assume you mean (d)(5). In a federal exemption case, you can use up to one-half of the unused portion of the (d)(1) homestead exemption in addition to the (d)(5) amount.

That catch-all, what we call the d5, is now up to $11,975. It should cover all the things you mentioned if you are lucky.
